Sexually repressed? LOL It would seem to me that women who are willing murder their own children have selfish tendencies that probably carry over into other aspects of life. No, married women, for the most part, are not the ones getting their children sucked into a sink. Studies also show that they are more sexually active and satisfied than their single/ cohabitating counterparts.

Putting the false assumption of selfish tendencies aside for the moment, I'm still not following you. What possible link could general selfishness have to a person's level of sexual repression?
So you admit that the "pro-life" movement is intentionally targeting single women and a behavior that allows them to remain sexually active and single at the same time.
Just so we're clear on that.
Care to cite these studies?

And while, we're at it - if having children is *the* most wonderful thing a human being can do, why is it those who wish to remain childfree who are called "selfish?"
If children are "miracles," and "gifts from heaven," then why is it that those who deprive themselves of such spiritual bounty are accused of being self-involved and immature?
I mean, really, how much more self-involved does it get than creating a little image of you so that you can mold it in your image?

Horace,
Question for you... Do you protect the baby the moment it is born? if so... Do you protect the baby as it is in the birth canal, being born? if so... Do you protect the baby just before it enters the birth canal to be born? What about five minutes before birth? One day before birth? Where do you draw the line and say now it is okay not to protect?
If you can be honest with yourself and you don't believe it is a child in the womb, then..... I challange you to go to a clinic and watch a partial birth abortion and then tell me that it is not a child. Watch the scissors pierce the base of the skull and then tell me, this life doesn't feel pain and this child doesn't need our protection. If everyone who supported abortion saught the truth and witnessed this terror, it would be no more.
I would venture to guess that Horace has not witnessed this truth and will most likely continue to defend something he doesn't have first hand knowledge of, from the behind his empty retoric.
I mean no disrespect, I just want to encourage all to seek the truth honestly before we speak.

And if everyone were forced to suffer the horrors of war, it would be no more either. We should aim for both. Arguing for one and not the other is nothing but bias and hypocrisy.

You are equally guilty of hypocrisy under your own absurd premise.

I have always argued that if everyone were truly pro-life, I would drop my support for abortion. What I won't stand for is a double standard. I think it sickening that Bush claims to be the champion of the sanctity of life while waging a totally unjustified war.
If a presidential candidate spoke up and argued what I have - that both abortion and war are unacceptable - I've vote for them in a heartbeat.

im sorry if this sounds offensive but i think that remiedos is talking a load of rubbish at conception you become a mother you have responsibilities to your child as soon as the sperm reaches the egg even if it is to stay a mother and just lend your body to the life you helped put there after all after nine months you can always let someone else reap the rewards of becoming mummy a status i cant see remiedos reaching with the morals she puts accross there fore shouldnt we all offer her our sympathy for the joy of being mummy something she has truly missed out on
