You don't hunt terrorists with MOABS. You kill thousands of people with MOABS. I'll admit, maybe joanie was talking about terrorists, but she sure picked a strange way of doing it, especially if it was in response to Matter's post saying the culture is in the dark ages.. People also kill thousands with jetliners when they intentionally crash them into crowded buildings. OH- please excuse me- I meant to say that cultures do that. Culture- the predominating attitudes and behavior that characterize the functioning of a group or organization.

I have been called a Nazi because I am in favor of protecting myself, my loved ones, and my country from a "culture" that is bent on destroying us in the name of their god. I must have been sleeping in class when they taught us that the Jews in Nazi Germany had instigated everything by killing thousands of unsuspecting Germans; and that the Jews had beheaded German hostages with rusty saws while chanting,"Praise God". I did fall asleep in class sometimes, but still I feel that my indignation is not at all comparable to naziism.

Since when have you ever heard George Bush say something like, "Kill all Muslims"? If anybody's following the Nazi ideology of attempting to completely exterminate a particular race or religion, its bin Laden. If I'm not mistaken, he's the one who has sworn to "Kill all Americans", or at least as many as possible wherever possible. He's the one who started this war. He's the one dead set on killing anyone who isn't a radical Islamic fundamentalist. Please drop this stupid "Bush is a Nazi" garbage. It makes you look stupid.

OK, let's examine what has been offered to justify the label you've applied thus far and do some logical generalization for the liberals. Your quotes: Now you know why some left-wingers do it, even if they are over-generalizing, and its because some right-wingers actually are like that. The reason there is over-generalizing is because right-wingers often fail to condemn it[/i].[/quote] and.... {Dave's Note: I don't agree with the over-generalization and I'm only using rush22's logic process to prove a point.}1. I'm assuming you're OK with the over-generalization behavior displayed because you've basically justified part of it above. No condemnation = over-generalization justification. 2. Since some in aforementioned group truly believe some of the statements they put forth, the over-generalization is justified. 3. You have labelled all of us in a group and then proceeded to justify your action. You must approve of the over-generalization because you've engaged in the behavior yourself...and then justified it. 'Nuff said. Given that.....As a liberal you must logically must approve the genocide that has been perpetrated upon mankind by the various communist regimes. No ideology has committed more genocide than communism. Stalin's performance made Hitler look like a shoe clerk. The Chinese, North Koreans and Vietnamese regimes were also fairly adept in crimes against humanity. It appears that if you accept communism, you're also gaining immoral acts against humanity with the package deal. Also, communism comes from the left side of the political spectrum. Some members from the left actually believe the atrocities they commit are justified. Hell, they don't talk about it. They did it. A quick review of what you said about communism: Hmmmm. You don't care. Weren't you just inferring that lack of apparent response is justification for over-generalization? Well, I don't have to infer your position... you told us you don't care. Thanks for the clarification. Now, if you want to debate the crimes committed by communism... we can do that. It's not an over-generalization, either. It's a factual pattern that has been repeated many times. But I guess you don't care if a lefty touts how great is.

You were asleep. Jews were not the first to put into death camps, it was communists. A supposed communist terrorist group set fire to the German parliament building called Reichstagg. Hitler then used this event to enrage the public against communists, liberals, and later, Jews. He also used it to enhance his powers in the government.
Who don't you like? Terrorists? Or all people of a certain faith? If they are one and the same to you, then I'll continue to call you a Nazi because you rightly deserve to be called one.
I never said that. I said joanie's comments makes her sound like a Nazi.

Matter. There is a huge difference between personal insults and attacks and being a fucking genocidal maniac.
Your point about communism is stupid. Communism does not kill people, people kill people. What's generally accepted as Nazism expressly calls for killing people (in the form of Hitler's master race theory). Specifically, killing of Jews, liberals, homosexuals, and communists. What the fuck year is this? 1966?
AND SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING DEFENDING SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO DESTROY THE PEOPLE OF AN ENTIRE RELIGION AND WHO IS DEHUMANIZING THEM BY CALLING THEM VERMIN?
HAVE YOU ALL GONE MAD?!!

My guess is that Matter is a red-blooded American and as such would prefer the role of destructor over the role of destructee. Only a guess, mind you.

I'd like to get this straight. Are you saying you would like all terrorists to be killed, or that the Muslim culture and religion is so "corrupt" that all Muslims must be killed?
Please think about what you're saying and provide a thoughtful reply.
Also keep in mind that it is likely illegal in your state to advocate or promote genocide of a religious group. Your opinions are your own, but to 'call to arms' other people is considered dissemination of hate propaganda.

I have to ask, Rush22, are you a lawyer? I Sincerely hope that I have not broken any more laws by asking you this question.

Post by rush22 on Aug 15, 2004 22:24:50 GMT -5
Nope. Not a lawyer. I said that it's likely the state you're in has this law or a similar one, seeing as I don't know what state you're in and states have somewhat different laws. (And no, you didn't break any laws by asking this question.)
I only mentioned it so you wouldn't claim I 'tricked' you into saying something like that (even though you basically already have), and to give you pause if you were just being reactionary or naive.
Your statements so far have made me really angry, and I want to be sure I'm justified in my anger; to be sure that you really meant what you said and to be sure I didn't misinterpret your meaning.
Because if, and only if, you did mean what you said, I'll ask MO to ban you from the forum, because I don't think we need your kind of bull**** here.

You forgot to mention Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge, and the killing fields. Remember them? They would kill you just because you had a college education.
And yet, so many Communist regimes have killed and imprisoned so many people. The latest imprisonment was Saint Fidel's jailing of dissident journalists in that Communist paradise known as Cuba, just because they criticized his regime. To paraphrase Steven Wright, 99 % of Communists give the rest a bad name.
Come on guys, I'm probably almost as conservative as the most conservative of you. But Islam is not a monolithic religion. It has more divisions than just Sunni and Shia. There are probably as many versions of Islam as there are Muslim clerics. It has its fanatics just as Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Paganism do.
A little objective thinking and a study of the history of Islam will show that most Muslims just want to live their lives with their families with as few aggravations and griefs as possible, just like all of us.
Osama bin Laden does not represent the bulk of Islam. He's from that part of Islam that makes heroes out of people who intentionally kill innocent men, women and children, and who convince younger members of their group to go blow themselves up, killing innocent men women and children in the process. They are very similar to Timothy McVeigh and his ilk. The whole thing would be hilarious if it weren't so tragic.

You're right swamper. Saying "Your point about communism is stupid. Communism doesn't kill people, people kill people" was stupid in and of itself. In my defense, I'll say that I said it out of anger because I felt Matter was raising irrelevancies.

Matter. There is a huge difference between personal insults and attacks and being a *censored*ing genocidal maniac. You're correct, sir. Castigating somebody on the internet who verbalizes genocide but never does it is entirely different from stating that you have no problem with somebody championing an ideology that actually resulted in over 50 million deaths in the 20th century. You've actually stated you don't care if a lefty champions an ideology that actually committed genocide. So, what is your beef here? Somebody verbalizing genocide or somebody committing genocide? I have to admit I'm a tad confused here. Ah, but then you lose your justification for calling us Nazis, right? It wasn't Nazism that did the deeds...it was people that committed the atrocities. Can't say that I can argue with that. Care to retract your 'neo-Nazi' comment? I believe you've argued yourself out of a label here. Right. An ideology to justify one groups' deeds perpetrated upon another. Gee, sounds familiar. Should I dig up some Soviet quotes? Really doesn't matter if it's race, religion, economic group... genocide in whatever name is bad. Potty mouth. Forum provides a date stamp for you. I already stated the quote was objectionable. Shall I pull that one back for you to review.... again. My question to you: Why do you not care about a lefty touting communism? You've gotten your dander up over an internet posting but remain strangely aloof when I mention actually genocide causal relationship of communist regimes. Review the thread. Who is posting in all caps and posting expletives? Proof is in the posting.

You forgot to mention Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge, and the killing fields. Remember them? They would kill you just because you had a college education. Thanks! Exactly. This is exactly why I found it absolutely astounding that rush22 would state he doesn't care about a lefty touting communism....right after ranting about the horrors of genocide. You won't get any argument from me on this. It's hard to ignore the evidence, however, of violence that tends to spring forth from some sectors of Islam. We don't have to guess their intentions. They actually verbalize genocide for the 'infidels' themselves. The term Islamo-fascism isn't coincidental. Sure. The same could be said for the Germans and Russians. Correct. The basis for our thread in a nutshell. As Americans, we need to keep in mind that this new and growing menace will not be a temporary phenom. This Islamo-fascism will be here long after all us blow-hards on this forum are gone. The only things these terrorists understand is brute force. Negotiating with them is parcelling up some of our freedoms and giving them away.
