Mom Arrested Trying to Remove Daughter from Abortion Clinic

In what can be described only as a brazen miscarriage of justice, an Illinois woman was arrested last week after trying to remove her 14-year-old daughter from an abortion clinic she had been brought to by the mother of the 16-year-old boy who impregnated her.
Reportedly, the families of the teenage girl and the boy who impregnated her had been involved in a dispute over whether or not the baby would be aborted. The girl and her family wanted to keep the baby, while the parents of the boy insisted that the baby be aborted.
In an article by pro-life activist Jill Stanek, she describes the scenario, saying that on the morning of March 17, the girl was taken out of school by a woman claiming to be the girl’s grandmother. Though the school had been warned not to release the girl to anyone except for her parents or grandfather, the school released her to the mysterious “grandmother,” who proceeded to take the girl to an abortion clinic.
When the girl’s mother found out, she was close behind. “My husband and I rushed to the abortion clinic, where we saw our daughter’s name on the roster and the time she had checked in,” said the mother.
Abortion Clinic Conspires
According to reports, when the mother arrived at the abortion clinic and asked to see her daughter, the receptionist told her there was no way to prove that her daughter was there.
“I was told I could not prove my daughter was there, so I began calling her name. A medical tech at the clinic told me, ‘It’s your daughter’s rights, it’s her body. You have no rights,’” said the mother, recalling the incident.
Daughter Asks to See Mother; Lied to By Clinic
Eventually, the daughter heard her mother calling her name and asked to speak with her. She was told, presumably by abortion clinic staff, that her mother had left.
Sadly, as the mother was being arrested, her daughter was forced into an abortion, that she apparently did not want. According to Jill Stanek, “On March 15, Shane [the mother] took Nicole [her daughter] to New Beginnings Pregnancy Care Center in Granite City, Ill. Shane saw her baby's heartbeat on ultrasound and decided the baby must be a boy. She named him Bradley and resolved to let him live.”<br>
A pro-life activist present at the clinic during the situation saw the mother arrested and the daughter emerge from the clinic. Angela Michaels, of Small Victories Ministry, said “Exactly one hour later at 10:35 a.m., the 14-year old emerged from the clinic looking disheveled. The 14-year old told us that employees kept her in a quiet room until the procedure was performed and she was told that her mother had left.”<br>
Meanwhile, the clinic’s complicity continued, whisking away the “grandmother” through a back door.

Contact your state officials and encourage them to pass parental consent laws to prohibit abortions from taking place on young girls without the parents’ knowledge.
