Enough hiding! It's time all you liberals saw my real face so you know where to aim when you come to blow my ultra-conservative, Nazi ass away! I'm the dude on the left. Your turns, if you've got the nuts!

A Salvador Dali shirt. The picture was taken outside the museum in St. Petersburg on my 17th birthday.
My shirt says "Folk Rock Reggae" and underneath that "Ben Harper".

Seventeen, ah, so young and so immature in life experiences, I remember those times well and the draft and cars, had a 55 Chevy I raced like in the movie, American Graffiti, except we weren't off to college only work and war. Enjoy these days, try not to do anything you will later regret and be good to those around you. What hooey huh, let me stop. Enjoy your youth it passes too quick.

Is anyone besides me having difficulty posting pictures? For some reason after the forum upgrade, my pictures aren't appearing.

I'm not having any problems. There may be a problem with the image link. Have you tried to manually insert the [/img] tags?

Yea, I have sure worked growing up in a family of 14, but I missed Nam by the flip of a coin. Five of ten in my class went right to Nam but I was not combat. I even volunteered to go but then it started to slow and school and life called. I really think the draft should be brought back as it unified the nation and made the consequences of war meaningful.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ian your just as I pictured you except a little less hair. I don't know about whether it takes balls but it does take knowhow so I'll just post a link to some photos. Ones a Parris Island original in Dress Blues ones at Camp lejeune during ITR, another at P.I. graduating (check out the stripe on my sleeve). Two are me back at P.I.earlier this year for the first time since I left in 1971. There's six but I can't remember what the other one was so I guess I'll take a look when everyone else does. pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/scrap1207/album?.dir=/3256 Ahh the last one was taken on Okinawa in1972. This was how we had fun when we weren't working.

Nice pics scrap! Thanks for the contribution. It's great to finally be able to put a face to the political and military genius we have all come to know and love as scrap.

Guys:
As soon as I can figure out both how to configure my digital camera, and post pics on the net, etc, I'll drop a pic of me in full camo, w/ face paint, etc. Not one to be called "ovary conscious", as it were.
