I sent Foamy Dog a private message a couple of days ago asking if he was interested in contributing to a political blog that isn't up and running yet. I haven't heard any thing back from him.
So, I will post here and ask if anyone is interested. Contact me through PM and we can discuss it further.
I'm not looking for just one side. I'm looking for objectivity from both sides.

Barney,
It is with great regret that I inform you of the fact that Foamy Dog died of rabbies over a year ago. His fellow packmembers have been awaiting email replies from the Great Beyond for over 13 months.

Barney,
May I ask what motivates you to do this and why? What are your political leanings? I have posted on line for a few years now and most sites represent no more than a hundred or so posters. Regular posters are more like 5 to 30? Redstates and dailykos right and left have lots of posters and are too busy for me. I occasionally post on redstates when some ideologue gets me motivated. I used to post a lot on Politics.com it was a great site for a while, eclectic group, but many moved off as the site slowed from excessive database storage. Let us know what you need to know and understand, there are some good posters here and some old timers who can impart a little wisdom, maybe. lol

Why? What motivates? Anyone starting a board or a feedback blog wants people to write.
I talked to Foamy Dog not long ago. He's too tough to let rabies get the best of him.

First off let me say this: I was unaware of FD's illness or that he had even passed away. For all of those that new him I offer my condolences.
2nd. I am starting a blog site that will have several areas. It'll be like an online magazine. One of the areas I want to be political commentary. I'm looking for both sides of the story. Not from just one person, but 2 or more.
"May I ask what motivates you to do this and why? What are your political leanings?"
Myself, I'm a conservative all the way. But, I feel there is nothing wrong with providing a medium for both sides to speak out. What is motivatiing me to do this is a desire to grow an online business. I have several websites but they are template sites and I really have no pride in them. I want to grow this site into a business similar to weblogsinc.com or slashdot.org.
For the time being any contributions cannot be compensated monetarily. As I said, it is a new site and I have no sponsors as of yet. I will compensate for contributions when/if the site starts generating an income.
So, if interested, please PM me.
Thanks

Barney, I think you may not like my points of view. See the post "end of democracy" for an example. Right now I have little time as work is very busy. Slashdot looked interesting but way too busy. Funny how Google caught on and it is a simple screen. What are the URLs for your sites? examples of pieces i found interesting. I loved the second good words on liberal democracy. controversial point of view on terrorism, you may not like it. www.ssrc.org/sept11/essays/mamdani.htmgood piece on liberal governments www.fareedzakaria.com/articles/other/democracy.html
