Ive been reading your posts, yeah I get it you guys are all into Political discussion and what not.
but .. Im not a political person whatsoever. The way I view it is, Im in no control over how this country operates, the choices leaders make.. and I cant change history, so why cry over it?
Im married to a West Point graduate, History Major, uptight political conservative republican. We have ZERO in common.
He talks the way you do, loves to voice his opinions on things he has no control over, but bitches constantly about how this country is ran. Watches CNN 24 hours a day.
Im getting a break from it now, hes serving in Iraq right now... I just dont get it?
Why do you get your bloomers in a bunch over it all?

Odd question? why do you get up in the morning, why do you read or watch TV or laugh ... politics is a part of everything we do whether you contribute directly or live your life completely along side it. At some point some issue whether it be transportation, taxes, jury duty, the flashing lights in the rear view mirror cross over in politics. But you should always approach it with an easy open view as some are so obsessed with ideology they ruin a good thing.

If everyone in America had the attitude Makeup Man has, we'd be a nation of sheep. Ignorance is bliss. One of the responsibilities of living in a society of self rule is to educate yourself on the issues, know what our policy makers are doing and oppose them when you disagree. In America people have the power. Its right there in the Constitution, but sadly we have too many people in this country who are like Makeup Man. If you believe you have no voice then you have chosen not to participate in public policy and have in essence bequethed one of the most important responsibilities of living in a free society. When a population is non-participatory in public policy it invites tyranny.
