Well looks like I found a new home on the net...
I was talking with a friend of mine about annoyances and finding a good rant board, and here I am.
sup·port (s-pôrt, -prt)
1. To aid the cause, policy, or interests of: supported her in her election campaign.
2. To argue in favor of; advocate: supported lower taxes.
Now for the ribbons..
I have had it with these damn ribbons, support our troops, support this that and the other... There has got to be a better way to support our troops. Certainly the dollar store or foreign gas station where these stickers are being sold, do not contribute any of the funds towards supporting the troops, I would say that the majoirty are made in china and sell for .40 cents each when bough in bulk and then resold for $1.00 up to $5.00. Its just a sham.
Some of these stickers/ magnets are for awareness'
So in essence the sticker tells people that you support awareness, as in "I support the notion that people should be aware." But for alot of people the sticker is the limitation and about the most that they will do in support of that cause. Instead of actually supporting awareness by attending a meeting or donating to that fund, (maybe they do but since I am ranting lets assume they dont) they just get the magnet and plop it in the ass of their minivan for all to see while they sip $3.50 mochachinos and blab on their cellphones at green lights.
PEOPLE, IF YOU SUPPORT A CAUSE, SEND YOUR MONEY TO THAT CAUSE, DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A STICKER/ MAGNET THAT TELLS PEOPLE YOU SUPPORT IT.
WE FRANKLY DONT GIVE A FCUK WHAT YOU SUPPORT. IN FACT WHEN YOU BUY THOSE STICKERS, BUY THE OTHER ONE THAT SAYS I SUPPORT THE FAMILY OF THE GUY THAT I BOUGHT THIS FROM AT THE GAS STATION OR DOLLAR STORE.
I made the image below to show my support against support ribbons
