I spent the last couple of days down at Fort Knox.(the military base) watching my nephew and 200 or so others graduate from infantry training and boot camp. Since it's an all volunteer Army these days I know they were there of there own free will. I'm sure there were a few exceptions but not many. The standards to get into the military are not as lax as they once were. I spoke to many of them at length. There eyes were wide open and they new what was expected of them. They also knew what the consequences of there actions held for them or there opponents. Being a veteran myself I have to say I was proud of each and every one of them. As the ceremonies progressed even an old vet. like myself had to try and keep the emotions in check, especially when some of the patriotic songs were played. I know I'm opening myself up to some of the more liberal readers of this forum but I hope they have enough sense to pick there words carefully. Proud to fly the and prouder yet to salute it.

That's great to hear, scrap. It's great to hear that people are willing to spend a few years of their lives (if not a lifetime) helping out their country and doing it with pride. - DoubleX
