I didn't start this thread to bash Kerry's service in Vietnam, so in your responses please stay away from that. Having never served in the military, I'm not going to pass judgement on someone who did. What I have a problem with is the Democrats trumpeting his service in Vietnam as a reason why he should be our next president. In '92 when the draft-dodger Clinton ran against a true war hero, Bush I, military service didn't matter to Democrats. Why is it that every peace-freak anti-war hippie liberal (like the ones who refer to our soldiers as mindless criminals) take every opportunity to praise Kerry for his courage as a soldier in a war they protested? Had George Bush served in Vietnam, he'd be a baby-killer. Ah, the leftist hypocrisy.
Also, I'm sick and tired of this "we went it alone" garbage Democrats spew in criticism of Bush's Iraqi war policies. As I recall there was no international coalition when Clinton sent troops to Bosnia and Somalia.
Another little nugget for ya. Why would Bill Clinton have ordered air strikes in the 90's against Iraq's nuclear and chemical weapons compounds if they didn't exist?
You see folks, it doesn't matter what George Bush does, the Dems will attack it because its George Bush. If Bush told a roomfull of Democrats that two plus two equals four, they'd call him a liar. Clinton could tell them two plus two equals five, and they'd believe him.
Did ya'll watch the Convention last night? How can Al Sharpton proclaim to Bush, "Our vote is not for sale."? How has George Bush tried to "buy" black votes? To the best of my knowledge, Democrats are the ones who pander to blacks by promoting policies like affirmative action and government handouts. If anyone is buying votes, its the Dems. They're the ones practicing plantation politics, not W. Democrats basically tell blacks, "You can't do anything on your own, you need our help. Just promise to be a good little loyal black person. Hang out here on our plantation and we'll take care of you." Modern day slavery, only they've traded cotton-picking for votes.
Al Sharpton, referring to Brown vs. B.O.E, said that if Bush were president in 1956, Clarence Thomas wouldn't have ever been able to attend law school. I reckon he forgot that Thomas was appointed to the Supreme Court by a Republican, Bush I. I guess Condoleeza Rice would never have been appointed as National Security Advisor, or Colin Powell Secretary of State. How many blacks did Clinton have in his cabinet?
