Madonna Ritchie, the Pop Singer

I wasn't quite sure what forum this post would go best in, so please forgive me if this isn't the correct one.

I began an 'anti Madonna' website in spring of 2003, as that was when Madonna (pop singer and wanna be movie star) released her "American Life" record and publicized some fairly anti-American sentiments.

I had disliked her before that, but didn't make a site about her until then. I am a conservative who not only uses the site to rip on Madonna specifically but also what she represents.

I also maintain an 'anti Madonna' discussion board. One of the forums there is expressly for Madonna fans to complain (it's called the "Cranky Madonna Fan Forum")

I thought some of you may like to visit the board and perhaps interact with some of the Madonna fans.

Currently, there is one fan (calling himself or herself "thin line between love and hate") who is in severe denial, though in most posts this person is polite. This person is essentially insisting that any negative account of Madonna or Madonna's actions is untrue. He/she doubts virtually any sources I quote.

Some of the other people on the board who are on my side, so to speak, (that is, people who also dislike Madonna), are *not* conservatives, though -- which is fine. I try to be respectful of their views.

Okay I really don't care about Madonna. If you really hate her so much why do you let her invade your life and consume so much of your time. Its nessecary to rant every now and then (thus why I spend time here) but it seems like an obsession with you creating and maintating a site like you have about one singer. So my advice to you is just cool it a little cuase you shouldn't giver her that much power of you.

Why do I spend the time on it? Obviously because I hate her guts.

Because for too long the media have been kissing her ass. There are only two - count them TWO - anti Madonna sites on the web, mine and one other person's. The counter balance to all the pro- Madonna crap is really needed.

I also get the "you are obsessed with Madonna" crack at the anti-Madonna discussion board from her fans every so often. I have heard it before.

I'll tell you what I tell the little fans (or at least one of the things I tell them): when I come across an anti -whomever discussion board or site, (whether it's anti-Michael Moore, anti- Britney Spears, anti- John Kerry, anti- George W. Bush, etc.), I don't automatically assume that the people behind such sites are "obsessed" with those whom they criticize.

I see that most posters at this board are conservatives (as I am, btw) - should I say that all of you are obsessed with liberals because you post rants against them?

There's nothing wrong with speaking out against someone who you believe is immoral and who has lent a hand to eroding morals, as I believe Madonna has done.
