"Over the past few days, Vinny has taken a new approach: arguing that Jesus taught a message of love and therefore, the infliction of pain is contrary to what Jesus would desire." Yes, I believe that. "and to violently slaughter the unrepentant " Ha, ha! What a joke! Didn't the Hellfire and Brimstone school of thought fade out about 1850?? Oh, you must live in Texas!

Vinny, if the fire and brimstone faded out around 1850, then so did Jesus' other teachings.

Turpitude? Don't you mean, "twerpitude"? ;D LOL, perhaps something to add to my humble vocabulary. Ha, ha! What a joke! Didn't the Hellfire and Brimstone school of thought fade out about 1850?? So now narrow (or perceived narrow) quotations from the Bible are out of fashion Vinny? If so, I suggest you refrain from using them in your coming posts. Oh, you must live in Texas! And so Vinny reveals yet another example of his ignorance. Hmmm. Thanks for showing your "true colors" Vinny. What a close-minded generalization that was.

Vinny, if the fire and brimstone faded out around 1850, then so did Jesus' other teachings. The main, primary, undeniable teaching is "That ye love one another." Ya know, I can just FEEL the love here. Thanks fellas. How 'bout "Love your enemies?" How 'bout "Forgive those who trespass against you?" How 'bout "Even as ye treat the least of these my brothers, you have treated me?" Frankly I don't find a lot of Christian fellowship fromyour comments, so maybe I do need to teach you a few things.

The main, primary, undeniable teaching is "That ye love one another." And the rest is deniable crap? How 'bout "Love your enemies?" How 'bout "Forgive those who trespass against you?" How 'bout "Even as ye treat the least of these my brothers, you have treated me?" How about everything Patriot laid out for you. I'm sorry, but I believe you will need to open your mind a bit. If you’re going to go by a strict interpretation, interpret everything.

While the girlfriend writes 4 or 5 lines, Patriot and Ian write PAGES of text. I can only conlcude these guys love me more than the girlfriend. While I am flattered, I just don't swing that way, ha, ha! So, I will be signing off there fellas. Been fun! Bye. Better luck with someone else.

While the girlfriend writes 4 or 5 lines, Patriot and Ian write PAGES of text. I haven't written more than 6 lines of text in a post in this thread. Ha ha. I'll direct you to your first post, a whopping 32 lines!! More than any other post. So I guess all the times you said you could feel the love you meant it. If we love you more than your girlfriend, perhaps you should keep tabs on your girlfriend more often. I'd say we had bloody good luck with you. Have we done it? Is the Wicked Witch dead?! ;D

Gee, doesn't a Relief Fund for the victims of the tsunami seem like a more appropriate goal. Gee, what if all those National Guard troop in Iraq could be used to help rescue people in Asia, instead of fighting for the large oil companies for the bush-bullies of the world. Doesn't the war in Iraq seem kind of lame and useless when juxtaposed against the real needs of people in Asia, against the life and death trials of these poor people in devastated villages? Where is that oh-so-elusive compassionate conservatism when it counts?

Typical liberal emotionalism. Doesn't matter where the National Guard is! This wouldn't be their job. There are thousands of people going to the rescue and American planes landing with food and relief supplies. Of course, the UN only counts $ they can filter through their greedy hands.

Vinny, you have to admit this is real progress. In the past the fanatics would be banning together to torture the truth out of you or condemning you to eternal damnation, how things have changed. You have to agree a negative post is easy on the soul and easy on the body. Maybe in the future, our next evolutionary step towards civility, they will actually understand and debate your positions. We can only hope.

Yes, they are filthy and greedy thug terrorist apes dressed up like statesmen. If the oil for food scandal and the rape scandals haven't convinced you, God help you.
The US has already supplied more $ for the UN effort than all other nations combined. I think we should tell them to eat dirt, give them 24 hours to get the hell out of New York, and set them up in Haiti where they could urgently use the economic boost.
The US should be giving in direct aid not funneling it through a world body that is embroiled in the biggest international theft of all time.
