I posted this last December but it seemed appropriate to post it again.
The Right and the Left
They struggled 'cross the prairie, On towards the mountain slopes, To gain that peaceful valley, And realize their hopes.
They wanted peace and safety, And the brotherhood of man, And, not just for themselves, But, for the worldwide clan.
The trails ahead divided, And led in different ways, But the signposts all did beckon, With the hopes of better days.
One trail pointed to the right, The going would be slow, For it was small and winding, Its ending not to know.
The other led them to the left, And it was smooth and broad, Its signpost promised plenty, Without the help of God.
The eagle, soaring overhead, Could see where both trails went, And he had read the signposts, And knew what each one meant.
The left trail ended sharply, As it reached the mesa's rim, And dropped away to chaos, To hopes completely dimmed.
The right trail, starting roughly, Smoothed, as it went on, Leading to a peaceful end, And to a hopeful dawn.

when I was younger I believed that the right and left balanced it's self out for the common good in our country which I no longer believe and discovered that most of the left are totally out of touch with the common person ?All of you who want to factor away education level to who voted for what candidate shows me just how intolerant the left truely is.You may wish to use Karl Marks teachings as gospel! While others seek knowledge from a higher source! Some of us elect not to be brain washed by professors who have there own agenda! If the left had their way we would all be required to attend political re-education camps! Is that the reason why those on the left require political science in most colleges?

I believe it's more appropriate today than at any other time in our history.
The separation of the right and left in this country is widening at an alarming rate.
Not being one of the lefts educated voters I guess there is nothing I can say to close the gap or at least nothing they care to hear.
I guess we will continue to be more and more devisive.
What a shame........................ .
