Jesus, a blatant socialist, would not tolerate our capitalist society & would condemn nearly every Christian church for their anti-Christian behavior...

You mean like allowing gambling in their basements? Well...yeah...that and: making love to children, wearing rolexes, casting judgement upon others and an overall misinterpretation of the spirt of the new testament...

Christian values: Help the needy: Whoops, better rewrite that to give tax breaks to the wealthy. No 'value' there! Love your enemies: Whoops, guess that rules out invading other countries - no 'value' there! Love one another: Whoops, maybe we can change that to love only if you're straight! "My peace I bring unto you" Mmm, maybe we can change that to allow nuclear "bunker-buster" bombs. The meek shall inheiret the Earth: OR, we can drop environmental controls and let big oil, coal companies pollute the entire world, so rich folks get richer. We can discard the Kyoto global warming treaty too. Gee, for a 'values' administration I don't see very much value!

You really love throwing that one around, don't you.

You think Jesus would condone capital punishment (let he who has not sinned cast the first stone)? Do you think Jesus would have the same stance on gun control (which is basically let everyone have a big ass gun) as the republicans? You think Jesus would be interested in cutting welfare programs and other programs that help those that are less fortunate? If you think he would you may want to rething that. Whatsoever you do to the least of my brother, that you do unto to me. I must say, from what I have read about Jesus, I think the man would be a moderate if not a pro-life liberal. UUmmm, yes I do...it is funny how you don't believe in Christ, yet know so much about what He says and wants....interesting....Maybe I should try that approach. It might help me trully understand what He wants...I don't think so. To claim to be a non-believer yet know what Christ teaches is one of those "sometimes people are stupid" things.

(let he who has not sinned cast the first stone)? Do you even know the context of that quote? It wasn't about not calling a sinner a sinner, the woman in question was set up...the man was let go....it has nothing to do with capital punishment. It was about unjust pharasees trying to set Jesus up with a trick.... Please referr to subject title again.....

I believe this is what he said when he saved that nice piece of ass we know as Mary Magdelin from being stoned for being a whore.

You shouldn't presume all "non-believers" are ignorant of the subject...I cannot speak for Cheney-boy, but I have done a great deal more research into Christianity than anyone I know who attends church regularly...I view it rather objectively, and appreciate what it does for "believers"...but the same "believers" cannot view themselves objectively by their very nature, as their belief superceeds any ration discourse...

Because I don't believe in him I can't know about. How wonderfully narrow minded of you. Heaven forbid I read the greatest story every told (AKA the Bible) and learned a thing or two about the subject. I know quite a few proverbs and parabels (sp?). In fact, my mother is a Christian and attends church 3 times a week.

More Windtalking, boys and girls!! ;D Liberal "Christian" values: Help the needy: Whoops, better rewrite that to say "KEEP them needy - encourage them to vote Democratic, and thus be perpetually reliant on Government handouts!" Love your enemies: Whoops, guess that rules out Liberal Democrats, with the way they "love" our President - AND those who voted for him!! Love one another: Whoops, maybe we can change that to Got Aids Yet ! "My peace I bring unto you" Mmm, maybe we can change that to a sequel to "Torch Song Trilogy?" The meek shall inheiret the Earth: OR, we can drop moral controls and let Michael Moore, and MoveOn pollute the entire world, spreading the "love" around. We can discard the election results, too - they're "fixed." Gee, for a morally bankrupt ideology, why aren't we IN POWER? Well, DUH!!!
