You want to know why Europe hates Bush so much? I'll explain.
The European nations used to be the most powerful nations in the world. Here comes this upstart little nation that suddenly, in less than 200 years, becomes a world leader. A little bit longer and it becomes THE world leader.
For 8 years Clinton kissed Europe's butt. He would not make any decision without Europe's or the UN's consent. You see Europe cannot beat us militarily, nor monetarily (please don't bring up the EU its falling apart already) but while Clinton was in office they were beating us POLITICALLY (which some would say is the most critical).
Here are just a few examples: Kosovo and Bosnia (Europe's freakin backyard, why were we called upon to take the military and financial burden?), Somalia and the Sinai (see above). You see, for 8 years under Clinton we were the UN's policy enforcers. We were seen as a paper tiger by our enemies because of our unwillingness to do anything on our.
Now fast forward to the present day. The most powerful country in the world gets attacked in a horrible way and suddenly we're doing our own thing! That's why Europe hates us so much. They thought we were in their back pocket and suddenly we jump back out under Bush.
Although some of our more liberal posters will take offense to this I'll say it anyway; I'm glad Bush gave us our pride back. Our county was losing respect in the eyes of the world and Bush is getting it back in spades. And before you say 'We're not respected, we are feared,' I'll say this: If being feared keeps Americans safe on our soil, then its fine with me!

Heh, you're sweet. So you make some points, I refute them clearly showing my position and reasons behind it, and you reply with some nonsense like that? You didn't even show how it relates to me in any way. I really love the "denial of reality" one, where I refute your comments and you reply with a nice little image like that - no attempt to refute my claims at all, just fingers-in-ears-lalala-I'm-not-listing behaviour. Or the "name-calling", which sounds similar to your rant against the rest of the world. Either I'm getting smarter or you're getting dumber. Or both.

They thought we were in their back pocket and suddenly we jump back out under Bush. Raised an interesting point, but I'm not sure if I buy into it. America went and did their own thing in Afghanistan, and not that many people were bothered by it; it was only when America went charging into Iraq that people raised their eyebrows. Even if our leaders agreed to go to war with Bush, would that really change public opinion? Just look at the UK or Spain: two countries that were taken to war, and yet an overwhelming majority of people didn't want to be a part of it. You aren't disliked because you're doing your own thing: some of our countries were joining you in the war. It's Bush's policies that causes the uproar.

How can you not see the correlation, Moo?
And speaking of Spain, they get hit by a terrorist attack (it was an awful event and I'm not trying to downplay it at all) and vote a liberal into office. The new prime minister (is that capitalized? I'm not sure) pulls Spanish troops out of Iraq. A few months later they get hit by another terrorist attack!
It just goes to show you that these people cannot be dealt with in any way other than to kill them. I have to admit that I never bought all of Bush's reasons to go to Iraq, but now that we are there it should be mission accomplished all the way. You have to understand that we are dealing with nilhilistic extremists. They will not accept anything other than the complete destruction of everything that we hold dear. This is an awful thing to say but the only way to deal with these guys is to kill them, throw them in jail, or make them too afraid to attack ANYONE. Ourselves or our allies.

AAHHHHHHHH, England..........that would explain a lot.
I like the English except when they forget that if it weren't for the United States they'd all be speaking German.
And BTW~ to whomever posted those pics of our President, it is common knowledge on the internet that they've been altered.
Grow up.

Look Mate - if I had aimed that cartoon at you, I would have attached it to one of your responses - deflate the ego, OK? I've already refuted every one of you points several times over (and now matter how you try and re-phrase them, they're still the same tired points). Any more would be superfluous.. And the smarter / dumber question has already been answered - by you........

If you are a christian, and you vote for a christian president on the grounds that he is christian, it suggests that he would be a better president than the other candidates - because he is christan. Why would religion make him any better (or any worse) Like most people, you equate Christianity with a religion. Christianity is a way-of-life. Many people who claim to be Christians, do not live that way. Does that mean Christians never do anything wrong? No. Does that mean we "push our religion down other's throats"? No again. Here again, folks equate our standing firm for our beliefs and talking about Jesus and God as pushing our religion down someone's throat, when God and Jesus are so much a part of the Christian life, not just symbols of said "religion". What does that have to do with this discussion? Christians voted for Bush because of his way-of-life belief. He believes the way we Christians do. Stregnth of Character, Strong Moral Values, Clear Views of right and wrong. That is what makes President Bush better than Kerry. That is why Christians voted for Bush.

In fact, it is the base for many religions. I don't believe in Christ, does that mean I am not a good person? You really think GWB has Strong Moral Values? It amazes me how "Christians" vote republican year after year because the republicans are pro-life and ignore the other planks of the platform that are clearly in opposition to your beliefs. You think Jesus would condone capital punishment (let he who has not sinned cast the first stone)? Do you think Jesus would have the same stance on gun control (which is basically let everyone have a big ass gun) as the republicans? You think Jesus would be interested in cutting welfare programs and other programs that help those that are less fortunate? If you think he would you may want to rething that. Whatsoever you do to the least of my brother, that you do unto to me. I must say, from what I have read about Jesus, I think the man would be a moderate if not a pro-life liberal.
