It's the same difference either way. By God if you wanted to ace that math test you will! But if you're just like "I'll never be able to ace this test..." well, you wont. So if I understand you correctly, I could ask you something like: What is the limit of the function 1/ln(1+x)-1/x as x tends to 0?...you'd be able to answer correctly, without actually learning how to calculate the answer? ( Disclaimer: That's assuming of course that you haven't chosen to study maths at a higher level, and you have chosen another career path instead. If you have chosen maths and do know the answer, I'll look silly, you see.)

Although you have a point moo, you are misinterpreting DoubleX's counterpoint. He is saying that, although we all have mental limits placed on us by education, genetics, and talent, we still are the only that force us to use our talents. I may be the next Einstein but if I work at McDonalds for the rest of my life I will never realize my potential.

URBAN City over 50,000 Bush 37% Kerry 60% Rural, small town Bush 58% Kerry 39% INCOME Under $15k Bush 29% Kerry 70% $15-30k Bush 42% Kerry 55% $200K or more Bush 64% Kerry 36% ;D THis shows that Satan is working is larger areas to attract more people and prove that money is the root of all evil. I know that all good Christians voted for President Bush, I hope those that didn't repent for voting for a man that wants to kill babies.

UncleVinny is right by saying the map is "a distortion of the truth" however, does that mean that everybody living in NYC becomes more important then everybody living the entire state of Utah? No. No, it just means that the areas where you see blue are more densely populated. If you believe this map, you would believe that 90% of America voted for Bush. That obviously isn't true. Only about 50% voted for him. Therefore, the map is misleading.

I was kind of proving the point of the electoral college, but yes, you're right. The map is misleading in that respect.
What it does show is that more people who live in urban areas tend to sway Democrat, while the people living in suburban areas tend to sway Republican.
