I had to try and keep this to a minimum as alot of it is rehashed.
I hope a fence sitter or a liberal with an open mind(if there is such a thing) will give it an honest read..
Let's summarize a little shall we?
Kerry's deferments for the draft finally run out after 4 or 5.
So he goes looking for something he can do that sounds good but is very safe.
He chooses the Swift Boats because they are located away from the action.
After getting involved with them their mission changes and all of a sudden he's in action that he didn't want.
Meanwhile he has written up reports of actions that differ from reality to put himself in a positive light.
He fled downriver in his boat while everyone else stayed after a mine went off.
He finally came back probably to make himself not look too bad.
He wrote up the event saying that there was enemy fire for 5000 yards from both banks as he went back to pick up his comrade.
This conflicts with all other accounts of that evening.
There are numerous statements and accounts that I could go into but I will just give a link later for those inclined to see more.
He does his best to get three splinters or rice cuts knowing that 3 purple hearts will get him out of the action because he is way over his head and got more than he bargained for.
So after just 3 months he is rotated out
By the way how do you think he managed all those photo ops that he's been using from Nam?
I was in the military and never had anyone following me around with a camera. He goes on from there to bash all the soldiers about terrible acts perpetrated on the enemy.
How he managed to get a visa to go testify there is beyond me.
It seems like an act of treason and I still wonder why him and others like him have never been made to pay for those sins.
This while the war is still raging.
The POWs are made to pay for his statements.
Some paid with there lives, some with extended time in their hell holes and all with more torture.
Yes I know there is alot of speculation about Bush's National Guard status.
Let's say for the sake of arguement that he fudged on some of his time.
No one in there right mind can equate Bush's indiscretion with Kerry's acts of treason and cowardice
His self serving acts have been thought out long and hard to get to the place he is right now.
Believe me when I say this is a despicable man.
His own comrades that served with him and who have no other agenda than to get the truth out have condenmed him.
They tell of his lies, false reports, cowardly actions, basically self inflicted wounds and his self serving actions.
I know this is a long time ago but this is a testament to the mans character.
Our basic personalities are set up at a given age.
His was in place as he plotted his future at a young age.
From what I can gather of his record in politics for his home state he is a typical tax and spend Democrat who believes in BIG government.
I'm sure there are lots of things people can say about the current administration.
The arguements can go back and forth endlessly.
The bottom line is that Bush's defense of this country is his number one priority and he has done an excelent job of it.
He is credible on the issues that matter most and steadfast in his resolve to keep us safe.
I will be proud to cast my vote on tuesday for Bush and hope when your alone in the booth you vote the same way.
Let your conscience be your guide when you think about the type of President that leads us for the next four years.
Not only leads us but is the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of the military
