Recent post in this section of the Forum under the thread Patriotism have led to the thread being closed.
This action was correct, if not unfortunate.
There was a post by peanut,

BOLO deserved everything I've said to him, cuz he lied about being a veteran, which is disgraceful.

This led to the response I made.
That the thread got out of hand there is no doubt.
I do not tolerate being called a liar. I have sent to TN Righty, MO, and Scummybear some links to my Service in Viet Nam. If there are questions they can be contacted, and a determination made as to my bonafides.
The statement,

I disagree. I sank to no level. My words, and intent, were, and are, the intent of a full grown adult.
However the postings have led to a thread being closed, and that is not something I would strive for.
I am departing the Forum.
Were I to stay Peanut would have no surcease. I would stay on him with continuous assaults on his lack of character, and other things. That is not something any of you would be interested in and it would take away from the Forum itself.
That I will not do.
Have a very good day.
Enjoy what will hopefully be a more peaceful atmosphere, and do not let the bed bugs bite.
