JFK (John Forbes Kerry) has this standard phrase in his campaign speech: "Ask not what you can do for the economy, ask what the economy can do for you"When he was inaugurated on January 21, 1960, another JFK said: " And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."This contrast demonstrates the redirection of the Democratic Party over the last 44 years.
