Affirmative action is a fairly sickening attempt on the part of the left to have their own personalized program promoting racism. It basically sends the message that "hey, we're the left, we're not racist, but sometimes you need to be racist." Ha. Sure. So you can be racist when you feel like it? That's what I hear.

It's just that the playing field still isn't level.

You should thank God for Affirmative Action. Without all the blessings bestowed upon him, George Bush would be bumbling around selling used cars and smelling like too much cheap after shave. He sure as hell isn't some sort of rugged individualist who worked his way to the top by sheer guts and determination. He was gifted everything.

Affirmative Action is a ridiculous policy that has far out lived its usefullness and is starting to piss off more people than it helps. It is a bold example of reverse racism and sexism by which white people and men are denied jobs simply because of their gender and the color of their skin. Many liberals are against laws saying that homosexual marriage is illegal. They argue their point by saying, "The government has no right to tell us who we can and can not marry." Then why should the government have any right to tell us who we can and can not hire to work for us or to attend our universities?

I'm quite sure that you won't be reading this, as it is probably your nature- as indicative of your name- to post and split. But if you do. . .
Affirmative action serves as nothing more than sheer egalitarianism. No greater disservice is done to a human being than advancing him or her based solely on the color of their skin or socio-economic status. What ever happened to "the best and the brightest"?? Affirmative action is yet another cog in the wheel of the big social experiment. Racism is evil in all forms, including discrimination against people who have earned the right to a job, a promotion, or scholarship etc. . . because they didn't meet the quota standard that is so desparately touted as "fair" by the left.
Ask some of the people who are supposedly to benefit from this (the poor, people of color) if they think it's "fair". I'll bet a lot of them would tell you that they would like to be advanced based upon their own merits.
Affirmative action is just a tool of the poverty pimps, and shake-down artists to keep themselves viable. It serves no other purpose. People who do discriminate against someone on the basis of their skin color, weight, looks, etc. . . are discriminating and racist. If that were the only reason to keep affirmative action around, then fine. But unfortunately it has become a reckless machine of racism itself.
