On another Board I had the audacity to post an article from the July 2, 2003 edition of the Washington Post in which Josh Wachs, the Democrat National Committee Chief Operating Officer, is quoted:
“Our challenge is to make the DNC a more streamlined, leaner, more efficient institution that is maniacally focused on beating George Bush and taking back the White House, and everything we do here between now and Election Day has got to somehow meet that goal.'”<br> "Maniacally focused" on beating the President ... not on improving education, protecting the homeland, eradicating terrorism, creating jobs, or expanding access to affordable health care ...
Maniacal. Fits.
I got a lot of response from the touchy feely left complaining that the right is significantly more maniacal, but aren't honest enough to say so.
