Want to find out what we are up against in terms of the GLOBAL media?? ....

Check out this brilliant (I think) website for everyone with a passion for our country and especially with an interest in U.S. foreign policy etc.. I haven't heard it talked about yet, and I don't know why.

It is called www.watchingamerica.com and as far as I know, it is the only site to do anything like what it does:.. they link to articles about the U.S., but written in countries all over the world. They even have translations of articles that were originally written in foreign languages by foreigners and originally for foreigners - but ABOUT the U.S.... The site therefore gives Americans an idea of what the rest of the world thinks of us, and how everyone else reports on U.S. - related issues. There is plenty of content on this site that I have never seen from any of the mainstream media...

The content is up-to-date. (They always seem to have five or six new articles a day.) They run articles from all over the political spectrum so I checked out their "About Us" page and they claim they have no particular political stance.

At the bottom of the page, they also have links to newspapers from all over the world - and they have this built in translation gadget so you can read them in English. Browsing this stuff has been one of the most fascinating and enlightening things I have done in ages.

Have any of you discovered this resource? Unless I am mistaken, this totally pushes the boundaries of news reporting in this country...

The world's perception of the USA under Obama has not improved, despite the fact all the liberals told us it would, because the world hated that "cowboy" Bush.

The radical Muslim nations still hate us, despite the fact that Obama is in office.

EUROPA IS pining for what she believes is unrequited love when it comes to the United States. Having fallen head over heals for Barack Obama, Europe is now feeling jilted.

In a paper entitled “End of a Honeymoon,’’ the German Marshall Fund’s Constanze Stelzenmuller recently wrote: “It seemed as though a fairytale had come true’’ when America elected the president of Europe’s dreams. “But in all myths and fairytales, wish fulfillment is, of course, the stuff of tragedy,’’ he wrote. Obama may be “a man of Western values,’’ but he was not formed by the Cold War’s east-west divide, and, as he said himself, he is the “first Pacific president. ’’

It was the day that a host of BBC executives and star presenters admitted what critics have been telling them for years: the BBC is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism.

A leaked account of an 'impartiality summit' called by BBC chairman Michael Grade, is certain to lead to a new row about the BBC and its reporting on key issues, especially concerning Muslims and the war on terror.

It reveals that executives would let the Bible be thrown into a dustbin on a TV comedy show, but not the Koran, and that they would broadcast an interview with Osama Bin Laden if given the opportunity.
