There is nothing unfair or discriminatory about having everyone show ID to vote. You need ID to survive in our culture. What is paternalistic and evidence of prejudice is assuming members of certain groups are too stupid to obtain a free ID.

So mom who lived till 90 and never had photo identification is too stupid? She lived her life as a genuine Christian helping anyone and everyone and even voted republican most of the time because of abortion is too stupid. I think maybe your next task should be finding a mirror for there you'll find the too stupid person.

Do you think she was too stupid to obtain a free state ID had she been compelled to do so by her desire to participate in the voting process? I doubt it. You should have more faith in mom.
