I am fascinated by the idea that media in America is liberal, if it were would we not see more stories on average working people trying to make it in a corporate money controlled world? Media is corporate owned and operated, they are not going to shoot their sponsors or themselves. This piece in the NYT is excellent and does cover the average person but it does so at the end and not in the middle. Every year end the New York Times' magazine has a special edition, 'The Lives they Lived,' a review of people who died in the past year. It is always interesting, so many things touch on our lives without our knowing the person who created it and often the how or why. This is an extension of that series. Artists and AA, ironically interesting stuff. www.nytimes.com/projects/2013/lives-they-loved/
