What If America Were Interfered?

Many Americans want to get involved in Syria over the use of chemical weapons and the many deaths these weapons caused. Using this humanitarian consideration, in America people are dying from guns every day, a mass shooting occurs every month. Thus the question, should another nation interfere in America's massive death toll, it would be a targeted interference with no boots on the ground. What do you think? Would this help prevent all these needless deaths?
