Even the Democratic Party's willing accomplices in the media can't forever cover major stumbles such as this one from Dean on Monday's Hardball with Chris Matthews:
Dean said, “Iran is a more complex problem because the problem is not as clearly verifiable as it is in North Korea. Also, we have less - fewer levers. The key, I believe, to Iran is pressure through the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union is supplying much of the equipment that Iran, I believe, most likely is using to set itself along the path of developing nuclear weapons. We need to use that leverage with the Soviet Union and it may require us buying the equipment the Soviet Union was ultimately going to sell to Iran to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons."
If Dean were President, I wonder with whom Dean would meet to discuss this problem. Nikita Khruschev?
The media killed Gerald Ford when he slipped on a minor statement about Eastern Europe, but they remain silent about this huge faux pas.
Can you imagine how GWB would have been skewered if he said anything like this in 1999? Yikes.
And the Left continues to deny media bias?

You're so right Chuck. Had it been GW, the incident would have been national news. As it is, the media chooses to pretend not to notice such things. And with thier usual arrogance, they think that we shouldn't notice it as well.
