Liberal bias in school, I think not! If there is such a bias, then why are students (like my nephew) required to say the pledge of allegiance. Why is my nephew taught that communists are evil, and why is he taught that America stands for freedom. Schools and churches are key for capitalist and authoritarian propaganda. I don't remember ever hearing about how communism was for equality. On the books thing, I find that quite insulting. I mainly read philosophy books, because most other political books are turning into immature ranting. Right now I picked up a new version of the Communist Manifesto.

Speaking of voting machines and of liberal media bias, did anyone notice how the machines in both Florida and California were set up and run by agencies operated solely by Democrats, yet somehow the GOP "stole" the election by using those machines?
Curious how demoniacal the GOP can be. They even infiltrated the Deocratict apparatchik!

Dearest listeners...VIACOM, is owned by who?? Go do your research. Yes there are biases, but think straight, we live in a capitalist society, we cater and are biased towards those who will buy what we sell (aka people who have money). We get the stories that will get the most coverage, that will sell the most, and that will be of monetary benefit. Not saying anything about it, but just saying that is how the media is run...that said, some areas that are largely liberal or conservative have their stories accomodated to that location, because that is what will sell. Silly gooses, there are liberal and conservative biases, thats why people choose what they want to listen to. Stop trying to blame, we must work together "United we Stand" to face the problems that will affect us all, we are all americans...stop the petty blames.

. . .
I know Three (count them--1,2,3) prominent conservative media sources: FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, and The O'Reilly Factor. As opposed to dozens of liberal ones.

FNC may slant a little right but not much. There are some conservative papers. I would call The Washington Times conservative. The NY times, Wash. Post, LA Times and all the rest of the big ones slant left. O'Reilly is a moderate independent. He angers the right as much as the left. Besides, he and RUSH are not journalists. They are entertainers or political pundits. The left has their own like M. Moore and Frankin. They aren't paid to give you news. They are paid for their opinions on the news. I wouldn't call them "media sources."

That's true--I'm not taking into account any conservative newspaper sources. I personally find O'Reilly to be more conservative than liberal, but maybe that's just me.

personally I feel the bias on the networks but i got cable so I dont get effected by it. In the end it works against the purpose people aren't stupid they see when someone is arguing a one sided ballad and will eventually read between the lines and see whats not said. What sounds one way will be interperted negatively even if it wasn't meant by the spinners. the phrase " I WILL REPEAL ALL THE BUSH TAXCUTS " comes to mind here. A person will figure taxcuts+repealed=taxhike will someone really cheer YES RAISE MY TAXES YOU GO YOU RAISE EM SKY HIGH to point to the extreme irony. Funny thing is that most of RussianRadio/Media is extremely conservative on the east coast and supports more of a Republican view making all these translations directly so the irony is not lost. There are about 7 million Russian speakers on the east coast.
Bias works well if its not percieved but if its overwhelming it works only in the oposite direction.

Too bad that all of you have your heads stuffed so far up your *censored*. Your war hero, hypocritical leader is now a certified liar. He put needless lives in danger and lied about it. There are bias in the media but they go both ways. Every single news station aired more conservative, pro Bush, information during the last election. Still more, FOX news is the most outrageous propaganda machine on the face of the earth. Every person on that station should be ashamed to continually wake up and air that garbage.

Hey Joe, What planet are you from? We're from Earth, where the only channel on television that dares to deliver an unslanted, informative, there-it-is, in-your-face look at the news is FOX. You think your getting the straight scoop from Rather, Jennings et al. ? Please! I recently heard Jennings comment about the prisoners / prison at Guantanamo Bay after a report that he did which might have been the least biased of his career, until he said at the end,"Difficult to look at" "Hard to understand" Huh? ? Can you give any examples of how "every single station" was "pro Bush"?? If this were true, there wouldn't be a market for FOX news, Rush Limbaugh, or any other conservative media outlet. I believe that you lack specifics because you hate this president so much, that you would actually vote for a french-faced, lilly livered appeaser like John Kerry, because his only campaign issue is hating Bush. Your the one who should be ashamed. Just another drive-by Bush Basher.

Fox's Slanted Sources Conservatives, Republicans far outnumber others "FAIR studied 19 weeks of Special Report with Brit Hume (1/1/01-5/11/01), which Fox calls its signature political news show" "The numbers show an overwhelming slant on Fox towards both Republicans and conservatives. Of the 56 partisan guests on Special Report between January and May, 50 were Republicans and six were Democrats -- a greater than 8 to 1 imbalance. In other words, 89 percent of guests with a party affiliation were Republicans." www.fair.org/extra/0108/sources.html

Damn the Liberal Bias in the Media..... I want my news and facts from just one point of view...MINE. Anyone who disagrees with me is a commie pinko fag without brains or the ability to think freely.
Only one source of news should be aired. Anyone who thinks there shouuld be more than one source for facts or news just doesn't understand the Rightness of the Right.
Stop picking on our President. He's right and knows it. If you don;t know it your are misinformed by the commie media.
This country was based and founded on rightness. We don't need a second Party to disagree with us. Not only is the majority Right, the minority should shut up and get on the bus to Rightness. There is no room in this Democratic country for more than one viewpoint... MINE.... Anyone who doesn't understand this just doesn't understand freedom in Amerika.
Anyone who thinks there should be discussion of more than MY viewpoint is obviously a terrorist and should be flogged in the town square. After being stripped nekked and hooked up to wires like we do to those loosers in Iraq. Get with it World. You are either for ME, or you are on the list for Re-Education.. Don't like the way MY President runs the World ? Get out or move to Gitmo....
Now this is Amerika, the land of the Brave and the Home of the Free. ( to believe like ME).
Those Libs are just like the school yard Bully. He hits the other kids in the mouth, then whines to the Teacher that those kids hurt his knuckles........They should be tortured Amerikanically... Have a really Right Day.......

Pukaman, You are not right! In two aspects (at least two that I'll mention)
1. As in you're not right politically, (with your nauseating sarcasm) obviously. 2. As in you're wrong.
No one is forcing you, or anyone else, to do, think, or say anything that you disagree with, nor is anyone executing you for speaking your opinions( although some countries do) . A lot of people don't have FNC as their default news channel. A lot of people in this country get thier news from the three stooges (Rather, Brokaw, Jennings), and take it as the gospel because they don't think or believe there is any other reliable news source (it's a learned behavior), but that's their right. Just because someone disagrees with your opinions, doesn't mean you can't state them. Dissent works both ways, so stop playing the victim.

Get a sense of humor and stop taking yourself soooooo seriously. Can't you detect a hint of sarcastic humor ?
You rabid rights are way tooooo serious.
I was merely parroting the kind of things that I hear on rabid right radio.
I do agree, that the right can stop whining and playing the victim. Blaming those nasty liberals for everything that is wrong is too simplified and perpetuates the right wing victim stereotype.
Congratulations on your recent Limbautomie Have a great day Pukaman
