I'm not clicking on your links, but athesim is not dead. They remain, and they are the pushiest religious people on the planet. JWs or Mormons at the door are easier to get rid of than some young punk atheist anywhere trying to evangelize his supposedly non belief in God. I think the vocal ones seem to be angry with God. The ones that really don't believe just shut up and live their lives.
