I'm having a great time at Disneyworld yet there are some things that have been annoying me:
1. My sister uses an EVC, you don't know how rude people are not only to people in EVCs but in wheelchairs as well. If someone is trying to enter through the exit, there IS a reason and you should move out of the way. You wouldn't believe the people who see the EVC and act as if it simply isn't there.
On A Small World nobody would make way for us until we yelled at them. I told a cast member once we got to the ride to put what basically would be like a babysitter at the exit gate, cause people are too damn stupid to figure out you make way for someone who is using an EVC or wheelchair.
2. People who bring their babies to the park. I don't understand this, the baby usually is not having a good time since a baby tends to be solely focused on it's own needs and is overwhelmed by crowds. I don't want to hear one parent tell me they're doing it for their child, because they're not, they're doing it so they can have a picture of baby with Mickey for their own enjoyment.
On to the subject of small children, which don't bother me cause it's Disneyworld, they're going to be here, the way their parents behave however is another story. You let your child run ahead of you, it's not a matter of if they'll get hit by someone walking but when.
Only a idiot majorus would take a small child on a thrill ride without going on themselves first and deciding if it would scare their child. Disney offers waiting areas for small children who don't want to go on a ride that's too frightening. Everyone else has to put up with a child screaming and crying in terror, cause they're stupid or selfish parent didn't consider if the experience would scare their child.
I also saw some parents taking photos of their kids in front of a train, these kids were covering their ears cause of the sound. The parents were laughing acting as if it's okay to laugh at your own children's suffering on behalf of your photo opportunity. Then their sister started mocking them. This is where children learn that bullying is acceptable behavior. Also these children have learned their parents will not protect them, and that their fear is insignificant. I hope they enjoy their happy and magical psychiatry bills in the future.
Well I feel better now, I really am enjoying it here I just wish I didn't have to be privy to an incident of unwitting emotional child abuse, cause the parents are too stupid to realize sound can cause pain. I know, I have Hyperacusis which is a sound sensitivity condition. It took all I had not to slug the sister for mocking her brothers for defending themselves against pain.
