-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Congressman [not Senator] Delahunt (D-MA) stands among the more vocal defenders of President Chávez in the House of Representatives. For some time he has acted as a go-between for Chávez and Washington. Mr. Delahunt also remains dedicated to perpetuating the allegation that the Bush Administration was deeply complicit in the April 2002 civilian coup that nearly toppled Hugo Chávez. Quick – well, not quick, since the list is so long – give me a list of Republican Presidents and Congressmen who were palsies with Central American dictators who were our puppets making sure some American industry was supplied with cheap labor and resources.
And then, let’s discuss Nixon and China, Bush and Putin, hell – Cheney and Rumsfeld and their pre-bad boy relations with Saddam Hussein.
Some two-bit Congressman deals with Chavez and we got a world class problem. I tell ya, if Chavez would sell us $40 a barrel oil tomorrow, you and all your Republican Congress people would be falling all over themselves to make nice.

Nah, he can keep his oil at any price, I would rather just have my country drill it's own. Here's another one for your list: Liberal democrat superstar Ted Kennedy and other democrats giving the soviet union pointers on how to oppose President Reagan. My blog: www.pitchedbattle.com/
