Can you prove tax cuts are not just tax deferrals? If you borrow the money, it is a tax deferral. If you took out a loan or borrowed money from your 401k, would you call it a raise?

Here is your equation: For 2001-2008, if tax cuts-(deficit + money borrowed from Social Security trust fund)>zero you had tax cuts; if not, there were no tax cuts.

For bonus points, divide (deficit + SS trust fund loan) by the number of taxpayers who paid $1 or more in taxes to get your deferred tax burden.

For extra bonus points, divide the cost of the Iraq war by the number of taxpayers who paid $1 or more in taxes to calculate your war debt.

The numbers do not lie only the liars who use them do.

What does make sense to Me is that The Government (for the most part, in one form or another,)currently receives a cut every time money changes hands,and Every Gain, and when You Die. The lower the burden, the more freely the flow. At some point, which We are already past, the Burden will Restrict the flow. Government collusion with Big Monopolies, Restrict flow, Free Enterprise, and Individual Liberty. Whatever the Scheme, However Convoluted, It's World Revolves around Power and Gain, not Management or Justice. Purpose is Paramount, not The Means by which Power is acquired. By contrast, A Single Tax based on Worth, Effects Evenly, without Prejudice or Partiality, be it Yearly or Bi-Yearly, or What Ever. The Balance between Local, State, and Federal Should be Proportioned to Function, by Consent. Keeping it simple, the first thing that comes to mind is that 10% of Total Wealth seems a good bench mark? It is considered good enough to God, as in Tithe. No Surcharges, Schemes,or Hidden Fee's There.

A Fair Government should recognize It's True Function, and It's Limitations. Nothing touches the Recognition of Inalienable Right.

Personally I think The Oligarchy Crowd may have stole a few lines from Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" and adapted it serve Their own House Cleaning. That Crowd hangs in both Party's Midcan, They play on All of the Continents. They manipulate most Every Crowd.
We need Reform, and Boundaries by Consent, not Totalitarianism. Have You ever stopped to think that Any "ism" form of Government will be infiltrated by the same crowd? And how will they be controlled? When You Decree Them Ultimate Authority? To Whom will They Account? Sharia Law (Islamic Government), Marxism, or European Socialism, are no closer to Fair play than US.
I know that the concept of Governing by Consent is really scary to Your Breed Midcan, but "We The People " are not Property, Yours, or Any Others. Some day this concept will sink in, Your Eyes will open, and You will begin anew. That is My hope for You Anyway. Try Living Inalienable Right. It Excludes No One.
