I think it would be great. Get another GOP'er in there. Hillary would lose and lose bigtime.

Definately a bad thing. Hilary is not electible. If she runs we will probably end up with Jeb Bush in the white house. God help us all if that happens.

Hilary will probably run, but she'll never make it past the primarys. Jeb wont run either. The Democrats wont let another Bush into office any time soon...

I also hope Jeb never makes it to the house. Bye-bye civil rights if that happens. I don't think they can scare enough Americans into voting for another Bush after these next 4 years.

The Bush family should just stay in power for as long as America exists You mean a monarchy? =P Seriously though, if Jeb becomes President, we at least get a head start on not hearing all the "Bush" jokes anymore. They all died out during Dubya's first few months. ;D (I have no recollection of teh H. W. Bush's years, so...)

"Scare" enough Americans into voting for another Bush in 2008? If the Dems couldn't do it this year (and obviously they couldn't), I don't see how anything will change in 2008....UNLESS the Dems finally get their act together and realize that the rest of the country isn't stuck in the 60s and 70s like most of the mouthpieces still are. For the Democrats to launch a serious presidential candidate in '08 (and Hilary isn't it), they need to completely revamp their image. For the past 30 years, they've been seen as the party of protesters who want to give away everything to everyone with your tax dollars, kill unborn babies, and allow gays to marry and raise children. Accurate or not, that's the perception that's out there and this election proved it. I know lots of good Democrats who in fact are moderates and possess common sense. But their voices are never heard because of the hard-core activists that get all the press. So not only do the Dems need to polish their image, they also need to project the fact to the public that they're not all a bunch of wild-eyed loonies and that they can talk reasonably and coherently. Case in point: I've seen several letters to the editor in our local paper from Democrats who are afraid that our country is now going to be a "religious" state, much like the Middle East. They conveniently forget that our country has always had a religious foundation yet giving its citizens the right to worship as they wish. Obviously, not the case in the Middle East. Seems to me our country has survived for over 200 years quite nicely. People can still worship whatever "higher being" they choose...or not. Religion (specifially Christianity) has only become an issue in recent years because someone somewhere becomes offended by a religious symbol. Unfortunately for the Democrats, they're the ones who are seen as being anti-Christianity and the Republicans are seen as being pro-Christianity. The Christians made a point this election. They're tired of being trounced and denounced. And the Democrats didn't think it was that big a deal and they lost. Clinton was hugely popular because he projected himself as a moderate and until the Democrats field another moderate for president, they'll continue to watch from the sidelines.

The conservatives are seen as the party that wants to create a church state, force feed us their "values" and give everyone a gun. Fair or not, that is how they are seen. Lucky for them, there are a lot of religious nuts out there, and they are complemented nicely by the militia freaks that don't want to give up their assault rifles

If the Democrats elect Hillary as their nominee in Oh Wait, they will have failed to learn the lessons of the election of '04. The American people have sent a message to the Democratic party that they are out of touch with the mainstream. If John Kerry couldn't win the Whitehouse, Hillary doesn't stand a chance unless she moves at least to the right side of Joseph Stalin.
If the Dems mistakenly believe they weren't liberal enough to win in '04, then by all means they'll push for Hillary. However, with the help of people like George Soros and Michael Moore I think the Dems squeezed all the votes they could out of the psycho America-hating anti-war liberal whackos. There are no more votes left for the Dems to get out of that segment of their party. That well is dry, and it wasn't enough for them to win in '04. If they want to win in '08 they've got to come back to the center and reassociate the party with people like Truman and JFK. They'll lose some of the Moore whackos but they'll gain much more from middle America. Hillary is not the answer.
