I didn't know that about Hefner, although I'm not suprised. It's disgusting how he is lionized today as some ambassador to "sexuality". He is no different than Larry Flynnt or Bob Guccione(sic?) to me. Just a smut peddler in a smoking jacket.

CWA. Wow haven't a good laughwith those folks in a while. I'll just answer a few things that you misunderstood me on, then I'm off because I see that you two are about the only active ones on here/ and that's not much of a forum. Anyway:
6% of those who commit rape will see jail time "Not Bad you say" So let me say that again- 94% of people who commit a rape will not NOT go to jail. So if went and raped somebody right now I would have better than a 90% chance of not going to jail. Probably even more if I went and raped a poor minority because I'm white and I have even less of a chance to be arrested and she has even less of a chance that anyone would believe her.
So when you say that rapists are likely to have commited lots of crimes- your right- that is out of the ones that have been sent to jail- which we have established- is about 6% of total rapists. From those numbers you could say that blacks are much more likely to rape than whites- but the truth is that they are just more likely to be arrested for it- as you can see from the rainn.org/dept of justice stats rape happens pretty much equally along racial lines when adjusted for the total percentage of the population.
Nasty- Yes I try to bring up some well respected science and data and it is "called junk science" "feminist bs" this maybe how you "debate" on here but its certainly not how things go on in academia. If you are going to call something junk science you'd better have some science of your own that shows it to be, without a doubt, junk science-(welcome to the enlightenment) not just some notion in your mind, because you associate it with feminism, which is clearly a hot button word for you and it affects your ability to think.
As for Alfred Kinsey being the reason for high rape rates- well, that's just funny. And believe me I know the CWA and I have for years- I have heard and read, in detail, every point of view on this subject from social constuctionist to criminoligist, to psychological, to fundmentlaist christian, and back again- just so you know. And one thing I do find consistent about the CWA is they crap all over everybody else's science without really providing any of their own. They just make anecdotal extrapolations without any real hard numbers. "look Kinsey and heff came around and rape rates went up and AIDS spread" nice try, but where's the study? Rape rates went up because they became more likely to be identified and prosecuted, you can thank the feminists, not because of sex ed.
And your comment about the "gene pool of scumbags" is pretty funny- I thought you guys didn't believe in evolution. I'm a population geneticist and i don't think that is an identifiable parameter in our world. As of this morning there have been no genes linked with rape- just so you know.

I wasn't aware that he let his creationism/evolution opinion be known, but since when do creationists not believe in a gene pool? Your ignorance and inner hate and anger are showing. Let's not even examine the obvious, that a generation raised to believe that they should get it when they can, look at porn and not suppress their urges might have trouble..surprise!..suppressing their urges! Go ahead and dismiss things out of hand because it doesn't go along with what you already think you know to be true. Why did you post on a conservative board. You're obviously not looking for answers and you don't want to hear what anyone thinks. You think you know it all. Why did you post here? About the whole 'penis envy' thing. I have a feeling that if/when a woman desires to have a penis it's an attempt on the part of her hormones to get her to reproduce, because she'd have to settle for 'the next best thing,' that being the penis of a male partner.

The truth of it is men are very different from women. Almost every culture in history has recognized the fact that women aren't as agressive or as strong as men. I can wash dishes, and iron clothes. Can you roof the house, or fix the car. In most cases no. Men seek to learn things from youth, that will never interest most women. Men are better at finding their way than women, although women will try to make you think otherwise. Men will brave down danger when women are in the corner crying. They have a more adventurous spirit than women. this is all fact, most people know its a fact. Naturally that more agressive, adventurous mindset coupled with the fact that the most physically demanding jobs pay well, would translate into men making more as a whole than women. I guess some women would want all the men in the marathon to slow down, so they could have an equal chance to win.
