I don't think that my age should have any effect on our conversation. If we have had reasonable discussions in the past, I don't that that should change it.

Look at who Hale pays homage to in his "RIP" tidbit at the bottom of his/her/its posts, a virtual who's who list among people who died of drug overdoses...real model Americans.

Your age will always be a consideration. The fact that you persist in insisting that it should not is self evident. At 13 (did you say) you have not experienced life. You are still assimilating.
You doubt the fact that you don't have better manners that your son.. You want to re read that sentence? You see any problem with it? You have other grammatical errors also.
First your statement reflects facts not in evidence. The mere fact you presume your IQ higher is a dead give away as to your immaturity. It is also braggadocios, which is another indicator of maturity level. Many adults fall in to the same category. Assumptions that you are smarter or have a higher IQ are clear indications of lack of maturity. They are also indications of low self esteem and Ego problems. You can not know this to be true. You assume it. Remember assume is spelled ass ume. Stick of in between the two and an ampersand between u me and you got it. Straight A's. Great Keep it up. I did not. Got an f or two somewhere along the way. Managed to graduate anyway. Now I have a Masters Degree in Forensic Science. Go figure. Not bad for a dummy eh? As to the last comment.
No actually it is not childish. You played in the big arena you got the big arena reaction. Venting is not childish. Keeping it in is.

To TNRighty: I'm "paying homage" to the people that changed music or movies forever and I look up to them for that. As for the fact that they did drugs, all I say is this, look at the person who's leading our country.
For everyone else's posts that I havn't answered, I'm sorry, I'm very busy. I will get back to you soon.

When was that? I'm glad you're thirteen. It explains a lot. I thought it was something more serious than youth and inexperience.
I know I'll never convince YOU of this, at least not for several more years, but it's really not all about you. Not life or this bar thread. It was meant to be a LIGHT thread for the regular contributers. If the liberals and/or the children can't respect that, we'll just close it as yet another that was hijacked by their foolishness and selfishness.
Your opinions means nothing to me. I thought I actually had something to add at your age, too.
Have a problem with me sweetie? Take it up in pm. Otherwise keep your whining out of the bar. Go take your Ritalin.

Here's to the VETS that Hale pays tribute to, in his "RIP" tagline - Private Elvis Presley, and Private First Class (101st Airborne Division) Jimi Hendrix!!!! Yes, both died from drug abuse - but that was after they ran the entertainment gauntlet. And of the two, I find it VERY ironic that Elvis got drafted, while Jimi VOLUNTEERED!!!! Both were championed because they stood out - Elvis, because he was a "white who could sing colored (sic)," and Jimi, because he was a "rocking Negro (again, sic)." Both found success in the entertainment industry, and both had no way to cope with the stress that accompanies such "success." And they paid the price, as we all do. However, both were cynical to a large degree, indicating that they knew what their audiences wanted, but hated the REASONS for that want. For Elvis, his famed "punk sneer" was his way of saying "If you put your heart into such a trivial form of entertainment (meaning his original "lewd pelvic movement" that Ed Sullivan refused to show, rather than the actual music), you'll wind up sad and frustrated, in the end." This was directed at the audience, even though he himself died under the same ethos. And Jimi? Please!!! Do you honestly think that 600,000 odd people, under the influence of God-knows-how-many different kinds of intoxicants, would really respond to a traditional rendition of our National Anthem? How do you communicate with a phalanx of inebriates who have literally lived in a mud bog, with no dependable sources of food, shelter, or sanitation for three (to five) days straight? And, thanks to the magic ingredients, are quite WILLING to do so? ? ? And even more than that, keep in mind that each and every one of the audience who attended Woodstock was unknowingly experiencing, for a brief time, what it was like to be a front line SOLDIER, even if most of them (the audience) had to use whatever substance was available to get by. And Jimi's genius (aided by his own military experience) saw the perfect chance for a bit of devastating sarcasm - the crowd had the luxury of gathering by choice; but his fellow servicemen in Vietnam DIDN'T - thus, he played our National Anthem the only way it could have been played, and even then, the crowd missed the point entirely (but there are at least two Hendrix biographers who DID get the real message; no matter how you try to distort the national bedrock, you're a damn fool for believing in simplistic solutions to complicated problems - and sitting in the mud and believing in the gesture, more than the action, proves the point). And both men became legends, thanks to a completely backwards perspective of their respective audiences; The King and his X-ray-image counterpart were wildly liberal - but only on the surface, which the average audience member (and nearly all historians since), have never really understood. And finally, I'll toss in another Vet who contradicts the accepted "norm" for entertainers - Tom Constanten (briefly keyboards with THE GRATEFUL DEAD; Woodstock was his natinal debut) is an Air Force Vet (and also a volunteer) - and he votes Republican!!!! ;D And a final word to the Wise - don't lump the seed in with the chaff, if you want yield................. ;D Another round for the bar!!!

Thanks for clearing that up. Holy crap, many a sleepless night have passed due to my persistent pondering on the issue of Hale's age. God bless you child, now I may rest my weary head and die a peaceful man.
LOL. So what is your IQ? Let me guess, 185? What a shmuck.
Well you have a knack for giving totally unsubstantiated arguments, so why not fit another one in?
Yeah. God I wish he would stop snorting lines off Lincoln’s bed. All I can say is, look at the person who led our country in the 90s. Where the hell do you think you're going?
Let me guess what you are doing, I think it would go something like this: Oh my God! I think Justin looked at me in class. He's so hot. He looks like Brad Pitt. Oh my God, totally....
Or you could be taking an IQ test.
I love the Grateful Dead, but only their 60s 70s stuff.

I believe his is the third or second highest earning ESTATE in the World. I believe Elvis is first (still) and Jerry may be second or third. OOOPS. Wrong. 1. Elvis Presley 2. Charles M. Schulz 3. J..R.R. Tolkien 4. John Lennon 5. Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel 6. Marilyn Monroe 7. George Harrison 8. Irving Berlin 9. Bob Marley 10. Richard Rodgers From Forbes. I don't see Jerry mentioned. Ray Charles is making an appearance already. Less than 5 Mil but headed up. Look for him next year. 11 George and Ira Gershwin 12 Jimi Hendrix 13 Alan Lerner and Frederick Loewe 14 Cole Porter 15 James Dean 16 Dale Earnhardt Sr. 17 Jerry Garcia 18 Freddie Mercury 19 Tupac Shakur 20 Frank Sinatra Jerry is no where around. Wait there he is number 17. I don't see SRV. Yeah I know he's still alive but hey that's a technicality. He was last year but not this year. You notice Ol Frank is around. www.forbes.com/2004/10/25/cx_ld_1025deadcelebsintro.html

CD? What's it called? I remember he did a number of cuts where he paired up with others. Eric Clapton for one. Sting also and some others. I think there is one out there with a Jimi Hendrix cut on it. {In from the Storm} (He also served in the Army and in Nam) They were Eddie Kramer productions. Is that the Double Trouble pairing? Isn't there one out there with Stevie and his big brother Jimmy? So many memories. I date myself I know but what the heck.

SRV & DT "Live Alive" features Jimi's "Voodoo Chile Slight Return," and was associately produced by Eddie Kramer. SRV's big bro Jimmie Vaughan is currently sitting on an album they recorded before Stevie's death; it seems to be tied up in litigation with Epic (Sony) Records........ Jimmie actually jammed with my band during the "Big Muddy Jazz and Blues Fest" of 1992; we did "Texas Flood," and the inevitable "Pride and Joy!" ;D Cool party backstage after the set, too!!
