Bush Took My Job& Killed My Sons
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak my mind. I lost my job this past year. When Clinton was president I was secure and prosperous, but in the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete with foreign labor. This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad conditions.
They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job.
This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the place where I had worked for 34 years.
Not a single government program was there to help me.
How can Bush call himself "compassionate?" Far worse, I lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich. My pain of losing my sons is indescribable.
While it is trivial next to the loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply have nothing left. How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a position where I can begin a new career. I was reduced to the point where I had to live in a hole in a ground, all because of President Bush.
And when the authorities found me there, did they have any compassion for my misfortune and ailments? No, I was arrested. Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a Christian! If I had any money left, I would donate it to the Democrat Party.
If Al Gore had been elected in 2000 I would still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!
Regards, Saddam Hussein

- except for the fact that before the gulf war and in the 80'2, the US and Saddam were all buddy buddy; the US got saddam his "job" and now they take it away, when he got too much power (NOT because he abused it). And people say liberals are gulliable

What the hell are you talking about Peanut? The US did not "get Saddam his job", as you so eloquently put it. This quote comes from a website of one of your own - Jim Lehrer's NewsHour. Before you say something like this: You might want to get your facts straight, and learn how to spell!

From: www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2003-04-13-saddam-secrets-usat_x.htm"Under Saddam, there were no rights of appeal," Kardom said. "I begged them to stop as they beat me. It only inspired them to beat me harder." An Iraqi soldier, who according to the facility's records witnessed the beatings, said interrogators regularly used pliers to remove men's teeth, electric prods to shock men's genitals and drills to cut holes in their ankles. In one instance, the soldier recalled, he witnessed a Kuwaiti soldier, who had been captured during the 1991 Persian Gulf War, being forced to sit on a broken Pepsi bottle. The man was removed from the bottle only after it filled up with his blood, the soldier said. He said the man later died. "I have seen interrogators break the heads of men with baseball bats, pour salt into wounds and rape wives in front of their husbands," said former Iraqi soldier Ali Iyad Kareen, 41. He then revealed dozens of Polaroid pictures of beaten and dead Iraqis from the directorate's files. The beatings continued until the last days of the old government. Iraqi Maj. Shakir Hamid, 33, and his two brothers said they were arrested March 5 by military intelligence police and charged with being informants for the CIA. They were released by sympathetic Iraqi soldiers last week, Hamid said. He and his two brothers, Majeed and Shakeer, have cigarette burns on their wrists, the bottoms of their feet and their inner thighs. He pointed out dried blood stains on the cement floor of several jail cells. "The interrogators kept telling me, 'Admit it, you work for the Americans, don't you?' " Hamid said. "Under Saddam, you were found guilty whether or not there was any evidence against you."

And just as i was about to put quote after quote of showing how the reagan/bush sr. administration supported Saddam, from 1980-1990 (just four months before the gulf war), the only sites i can find to prove this are socialist - meaning biased. But the very least i can say, is that Saddam's rise to power was supported (early on) by the US and if you believe supported simply means "Go Saddam!" and not "Here Saddam, have some money and build those ties with Kuwait - but dont forget who helped you " - you're a fool. I have no idea who Jim Lehrer is, cuz believe it or not, i dont usually follow US politics - unless Canada is concerned. btw, attacking my misspellings is rather tacky - do grow up.

But that's not what you said. This is. If you can't take the heat, stay north of the border where everything is frozen; including the political system. I'll be glad to continue this with you in a few days if you wish. I have to catch an early flight. Mo - Stand in for me till I get back please

Spare me your bogus ramblings about the US helping Iraq. Most reasonable people understand that allies change over the years. We helped Iraq against Iran because that was in our best interest at the time.

- hey at least our elections last a day; and our prime minister can speak enlgish AND french. i'd be surprised if bushy knew that french canadians spoke french. hell i'd be surprised if he knew what a french canadian is...
- DO NOT give me the speech about allies changing over time, cuz if you want a list of the number of times the US have changed their allies because of "interest" - i can give that and believe me, it's a long and sad list.

Certainly a politically influential family helps one with college applications, but everyone seems to take this as "no one belonging to a powerful family is worthy of success", because it's all unfair, cruel, etc., whine, whine, whine. If Bush doesn't know where Chechnya is, it's probably because he doesn't give a damn where it is. I know I don't. Insignificant world history was never my favorite subject. Lastly, throughout history, most presidents had not left the country before their election--what need was there?

As leader of the free world, all high on his "war on terrorism" spiel, you'd think he'd care about terrorism occuring in a nice white, semi-christian area of the world.
- OH, i'm sorry, shoot, did i really mention something that you dont care about...dang, sorry about that, it wont happen again.
- TO SEE THE damn WORLD FOR WHAT IT IS - MULTI- EVERYTHING!
Peanut- You should thank me. Editing out the school yard type personal insults makes your post look much less sophomoric.
