A long time ago many people worshipped idols. They created idols because they were afraid of the unknown, and they wanted to feel like someone was watching over them and taking care of them. Then these people, who called themselves monotheists, appeared and they thought that it was awfully stupid to worship things made by there own hands. So they made this new idol which they called God. The difference between God and the other idols was they claimed that God couldn't be seen, so it was impossible to disprove them. People thought that this made much more sense so that they started to worship this new idol called God.
I can't believe in God, my rational thought process will not allow me. I wish I could have blind dogmatic faith, but alas I can't.

Who says your faith has to be dogmatic, and rationial thinking (which i'm sorry to say, you are not showing now) can only help prove that a higher power exists. I belong to no religion, i LOATHE christianity's complete hypocrisy to the world (past, present and future) and cant stand it when christians cry and whine about how hard it is for them. Organized religion is never organized, and that's why i cannot be a part of it. All organized religions tell you to find your path, be the person God made you to be - as long as it coincides with what we're teaching you. The Bible, the Koran, the Torah, and many other religious books were published to be given to masses, for them to know and understand their religion, but how can one make their own conclusions about their faith, when they're told HOW to interpret something in church, or temple or mosque? I do however, believe in God, but lets just say it's incredibly different from what most believe God to be. Nemesis, if you give me an email address, i would love to continue this topic with you, off the board, but it's up to you.
