I doubt that Jesus would help anyone busy posting sacreligious bumper stickers.

He helped most people, but I doubt He'd approve cyber anti-Christianity.

That's the great thing about religion, you cant be sure of anything - perfect for controlling people thoughts.
Isn't it funny how Christians only believe that Jesus is on THEIR side - it's kinda like watching children bicker on a playgroud
"My friend is SOOOOOOOO much cooler then your friend!"

Ummmm here's a newsflash for you, Jesus is on the side of Christians........that is why they are called........CHRISTIANS!!! Does this concept go over your head? Jesus said, "Love Thy Enemy". What he meant by "love" is "don't kill them". We have a Bush and the Religious Right PRETENDING to be Christians, but advocating the Iraq War, the killing of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians, and even maiming and killing of thousands of their own people, the American soldiers. It was an unnecessary war, and Jesus would have agree with that. Saddam was NOT an imminent threat to the U.S. because he did NOT have ANY WMD. Bush LIED, so he could satifsfy his blood-thirst. Those in this forum who support Bush's Iraq War need to learn Christianity, "Love Thy Enemy". - Jesse

Jesus also said:
Matthew 10 33But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. 34"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to turn " 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--

no my dim-witted friend, Jesus (assuming he existed) died for all. died to spread a message that GOD is everywhere, all around you, in the stone that people throw at the adulterous woman.

I'm dim witted huh? Your statements have proven you have never read a single scripture. I suggest you learn something about what you are talking about before you spew your ignorance in public.

Jesus also said, "Turn the Other Cheek". I have spoken to many TRUE Christians who will NOT vote for the evil Bush for his LIE to cause the maiming and killing of thousands of American soldiers for an unnecessary war. MO, you still have not given me any REASON, and you quit the other thread. How would you feel if your OWN brother or cousin dies or loses arm/legs to attack a nation who is NOT an imminent threat to the U.S. because it did NOT have ANY WMD? Is it so difficult to answer a question directly? Do you have COMPASSION for the maimed and dead American soldiers? If you are true Christian, can you show COMPASSION? - Jesse

Favre, if you know the scripture so well, and since Christian claim themselves to be COMPASSIONATE people, then answer this: Do you have COMPASSION for the killing and maiming of thousands of American soldiers for an unnecessary war on a nation (Iraq) that is NOT an imminent threat to the U.S. because it did NOT have ANY WMD? If you are true Christian, do you have COMPASSION for the unjust maiming and death of these American soldiers? Can you answer a question directly? Can you show compassion and denounce Evil Bush? - Jesse

- OH MY GOD! i'm dying here!
- i wanted to be a roman catholic priest at one point in my life (and i dont me "eh, it's something to think about") - it was the path i was going to and stayed on for 3 years - until i came out - in fact a past time of mine in the past, was to READ THE BIBLE.
please stop trying to "figure" me out.
- dear lord, STOP IT, my abs hurt from laughing so much.
maybe you want to discuss mary magdalene's role in the forwarding of christianity? what about the OTHER gospels, that are not in the Bible - such as the gospel of mary magdalene or st. thomas?
believe me, i am ALL up for a good civil discussion on the Bible - but i dont want to clutter up this thread with that. by all means send me a private msg. *edited I have had enough of that. If you're going to break the RULES and post personal attacks, at least be creative!

You're out of your mind! Stop blowing the statistics way out of proportion, and maybe you will be taken seriously. Those people died so that the people who are alive now will have the chance for a better future. It doesn't matter if Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction or not. The fact is that the Iraqi people have been liberated. That is what is important. I don't care if Bush lied to me, I don't care if he only started the war for oil, I don't know and I don't care about any of that stuff. It's irrelevant. What I do care about is the people living in Iraq right now who have something to look forward to. What I care about is the possibility of democracy in the Middle East. What I care about is a revival of that Islamic culture that was a bright light contrasting with the darkness of medieval Europe. What I care about is the good that will come out of this conflict. I could care less about the intentions behind the war. I could care less about the politics. I care about the PEOPLE.

Well, many Christians would argue that this sword is somehow love.
