Do you honestly think the conservatives neglect the constitution? It says that Congress shall make no law regarding the formulation of contracts. Hence, minimum wage regulations are unconstitutional. But the liberals don't want to talk about that. . .
I'm a liberal, and I'm perfectly willing to talk about that. If the founding fathers meant anything by this clause (which I'm sure they did) their intent was to keep government from dictating to people what they could agree to. So I guess when you find me someone who really, really wants to contract work for less than minimum wage, you'll have a Constitutional challenge to the law that established the (what is it now?) $5.25/hour floor.

A job for less than $5 an hour's better than no job at all. The freer the market, the freer the people. Some are willing to work for this wage.
