Insipidity

Here we flee, parched and tried,
Beneath certain, heavy auburn skies,
As we make our pusillanimous escape
Away from chiding, deathly lies.

I fell into your middling guise.

And here we ride in somber blurs,
As the meaning falls obscure
As the intentions of my heart,
And the timing we shall part.

I fell into your temperate heart.

And yet you seem to fail to see me,
In this state so blurred and steamy,
In this state so blurred and dreamy,
Shall we make our parting way?

And yet I fall to whims to stay.

In this haze you fail to answer,
Lionized as a spirit dancer,
I somehow always fail to trance her,
And retreat from this tortured day.
