You know, my first instinct was to delete this thread. I mod several very busy boards where this would just be taking up a space on the front page. It is very typical for leftist to post this type of thing on conservative boards. I'll leave it as testimony and evidence of their level of intellect, commitment to the first amendment and diversity of opinion, tolerance and willingness to live and let live.

There's plenty of similar testimony about the 'conservative' level of intellect out there too MO.

If you are so for free speech, maybe you can inform the president about it, and let the protesters march in Central Park during the RNC. Maybe you can also ask Bush to not screen everyone who is in his audience whenever he recites a speech.
Do you know that there are 10 amendments at the beginning of the constituion called the Bill of Rights, and that many of the people you support trample on them everyday? Do you love freedom or facism?

I hope that the media spends much of its time and attention on the protestors at the RNC. I think letting the American people see those communist freaks would be good for the reelection campaign. That being said, all politicians make rules for their conventions and speeches. Those town hall type meetings are always staged, with questions set up ahead of time. I'd say it's foolish beyond belief to not screen people who will have access to the President. That is not a new policy. It is the Republicans who are trying to save the Bill of Rights, or a least slow down its destruction by the left. www.greaterthings.com/Constitution/Associates/10Marx_planks.htm

Hmmm....Republicans trying to save the bill of rights? Let's see... Sean Hannity, conservative monster, said he would support a suspension of the election if there were another terrorist attack. The Patriot Act allows government agencies to check into what books you read, without ever having to tell you The Patriot Act allows you to be held without due process of law if you are "thought" to be a terrorist (1984, anyone??) A man was asked to leave a Bush speech because he silently protested by turning his back
Also, for the first time in 80 years, the Bush admin is proposing an amendment that would restrict freedom instead of endure it. And the last time that happened was prohibiton....talk about learning from the past.
And how did we get from protestors to communists? Yes, let them see us (if we get to protest), so the world can know that this administration does not have the support of the PEOPLE! The most important part of this government! It is supposed to be a goverenment that reflects the desires of the people.
Republicans enduring the bill of rights....I think Dick Cheney has a toilet paper roll which has all 10 of those amendments written on it.

You guys are so predictable. You all spout out the same talking points. We have about five active threads with liberals spouting out the same crap. They soap up their indoctrination very willingly and puke it up on conservative boards. Probably because of being trained to respond to bells in the public school. I bet you've never even read the Patriot Act.

I've tried to resist responding to some of these idiotic posts, however. . .
Had the Patriot Act been in place prior to 911, we may not have had a smoking pile of rubble and dead people in NYC. I am not in any way suprised at your total exclusion of considering that this act was put into place to save lives; inconvenience is a small price to pay considering the catastrophic possibilities. And like MO says, I doubt very seriously that you have any concept of what is contained in the Patriot Act.
You also have a tremendous audacity to assume that "THE PEOPLE" represent your merry band of activist losers, trying to live out the fantasy of their utopian wet dream.
You and your ilk are the same extremists who attempt to free murderers and rapists under the guise of protecting their civil rights, no matter the facts to support the crimes. But when it comes to the rights of victims, you couldn't care less.
Communists? Yeah, communists.

You're absolutely right, scummybear. This believer in the Bill of Rights thinks that it means a few judges should be able to force us to redefine our institutions through judicial tyranny. Their heroes of the first amendment include people like Alec Baldwin, who wishes to beat people to death if they disagree with him. The Democratic way is tossed aside for judicial activism without them uttering a word, as long as they agree with the decision.
They're real level of "tolerance" and their hypocrisy is exposed every time they post this kind of thing on a conservative web site.

Hmm..all you guys did was dodge the issue and bring up other points that conservatives always attack liberals on. MO just took one of my points, claimed I had never read it, called me an activist, and then went off on another tangent. Bright, real bright.
Oh, and me and my merry band of activists? Look at the polls my friend. Your president didn't even get elected

A delusion is a false belief about anything, be it persecutory or otherwise. In your case I would calll it grandiose. Seek help. There are some fine medications to treat this condition.
