Check out this video clip from feb 2001. (The rest of the site is nonsence by the way) 100777.com/node/view/589"He [saddam] has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors" Think the clip looks suspiciously like a badly dubbed karate movie? your right, it does. but thats bad quality video for you. However, want to reference it against a reliable source? Who better to believe than the US Depatment of State? www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2001/933.htmscroll down to the first question asked.

"No takers on this one then?"
OK. I'll bite. First, I can't get the video to play, so I can respond only to the text.
1, With the Bush Haters growing daily and with the 9 dwarfs currently battling for the Dem nomination, don't you find it a bit curious that only an obscure website with an obscure message board is delivering the video? I would have expected that, if accurate and complete, at least one of the candidates would make sure we all saw this video.
2. What is the context and the audience? Because I cannot see the video, I cannot put the quotes into context.
3. The date cited is less than a month after the inauguration. I find it hard to accept that Powell and Rice would make statements like that, especially if Clinton actually said what he is now represented to have said to Bush, Powell and Rice about the growing threat.

www.thememoryhole.org/war/powell-rice-wmd.wmvIn that case try this link. By the way, you don't even need to watch the video as the transcript of the press briefing is on the State Departments website (the second link I provided) "1, With the Bush Haters growing daily and with the 9 dwarfs currently battling for the Dem nomination, don't you find it a bit curious that only an obscure website with an obscure message board is delivering the video? I would have expected that, if accurate and complete, at least one of the candidates would make sure we all saw this video." Surprising to me as well, but that does not mean the video is fake. The second source (the government themselves) confirms its authenticity. "2. What is the context and the audience? Because I cannot see the video, I cannot put the quotes into context." The context is clear if you read the transcript. The audience is Egyptian Journalists in Cairo. "3. The date cited is less than a month after the inauguration. I find it hard to accept that Powell and Rice would make statements like that, especially if Clinton actually said what he is now represented to have said to Bush, Powell and Rice about the growing threat." Why hard to believe? Politicians are mostly hypocritial, oportunist swindlers (as we agreed before). Nothing seems hard to believe to me. Read the transcript in the second link and you will get an accurate picture of what was said.

There's still a lack of takers on this one. Walter, you still there? You haven't lest me have you?

The video is clearly fraudulent.
1. The words and the lip movements aren't in sync. If you work hard and can lip read, Powell and Rice are talking about two completely different matters.
2. The date superimposed on Rice's comment was that of the creator of the fraud, not the network.
3. If this tape were, in fact, legitimate, there is no doubt in my mind that Dean, Kerry and Edwards would have played it over and over and over.
4. Even NPR has not mentioned it.
Bogus and a waste of technology.

Jesus Christ Walter, click the second link (ITS THE US DEPARTMENT OF STATE OFFICIAL SITE!!!). Try reading my posts all the way through aswell.
I gave you corroborating PROOF that the video is genuine and you ignore it. If the clip was of higher quality then you would see that the words DO sync up.

I'd say the non-reporting of this probably has something to do with the massive conservative bias in the general media.

I'd say the non-reporting of this probably has something to do with the massive conservative bias in the general media. Hah. Yea, sure, you know it. Your buddies at CNN (The Communist News Network) would most certainly agree.

A little advice before embarking on your career as a political comdedian; for satire to be amusing it has to have SOME degree of grounding in reality.

Like the reality that CNN is not Communist, not by a stretch on the imagination Socialist, not even Social Democratic. It is middle of the road in its views, its reporting and its analysis.
I have no idea about the media in your country other than what we get acces to over here. I doubt very much that any media is biased in any way that might upset its sponsers.
In other words, whilst you have conservative busineses you will have conservative media, whilst you have liberal busineses you will have liberal media. I take it you have a variety of different busines enterprises?
Anyway, all of this is a distraction. How about getting to the original issue?
