Immigration or a humanitarian act? "Three people he knows were murdered this year. Four others were gunned down on a nearby corner in the span of two weeks at the beginning of this year. A girl his age resisted being robbed of $5. She was clubbed over the head and dragged off by two men who cut a hole in her throat, stuffed her panties in it, and left her body in a ravine across the street from Cristian’s house." www.nytimes.com/2014/07/13/opinion/sunday/a-refugee-crisis-not-an-immigration-crisis.htmlwww.motherjones.com/politics/2014/07/are-kids-showing-border-really-refugees"When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:33-34 "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." Matthew 25:35 ESV

I wish the left would stop preaching for a theocracy.
This is secular, pluralistic nation of laws that our politicians swore to protect and defend, including protecting us from foreign invasion.
Any calls for mercy from Jesus are to the individual, and people like Glenn Beck and others are doing just that. I hope you're doing your part and not just talking the talk.
That part of the world has been a mess for decades. Their suffering isn't anything new. It's caused by the policies the Dems are forcing on us, minus the open borders. Even socialist dictators in central and south America don't have open borders.

Are you kidding? You must be, the right is pushing for a theocracy as Hobby Lobby demonstrates. Consider any number of issues and it is the religion of the conservative far right that is influencing the debate and limiting the freedoms of Americans they disagree with. "I wish I had a nickel for every time a conservative told a lie in order to sell an ideology that would otherwise be hopelessly unappealing....But, then, what the hell would I do with ten kazillion, trillion, dollars? I wouldn't know how to spend that much loot." www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/11193

The Hobby Lobby case doesn't show a push for a theocracy. On the contrary. They simply want self determination on what drugs they have to pay for, because they don't wish to pay for drugs that can terminate a pregnancy after conception. The court ruled the way it did because of a law passed by Dem congress peeps and signed into law by Clinton in the 90s.
Good job of hijacking your own thread. lol
